Interview types

Probix supports multiple interview formats: initial screen, competency deep-dive, behavioral, technical, and culture fit. Each type uses a different probe strategy tuned to its purpose. You pick the type when you create a job.

Qualifier gates

Before probing competencies, Probix confirms the basics: work authorization, compensation alignment, relocation willingness, and sponsorship status. Candidates who don't clear the gates are ended immediately. You're not billed and your recruiter isn't wasting time on calls that were never going to work.

Interest scoring

Probix measures genuine interest, not rehearsed enthusiasm. It looks at how a candidate talks about the company, the role, and the team: whether they did research, whether their answers reveal actual curiosity, or whether they're clearly working through a list of applications.

Communication quality

Structured evaluation of how a candidate communicates: filler rate (uh, um, like), hedging density (I think, maybe, possibly), answer completion (did they actually answer what was asked), and win moments (specific, concrete evidence of past achievement). All derived from acoustic and transcript analysis. Not guesswork, not AI impressions.

Competency evaluation

You define the competencies. Probix generates probe questions based on the job description and probes dynamically based on the candidate's answers. It follows up on vague answers and digs deeper on strong signals. Each competency is scored 1–5 with an evidence citation from the transcript.

Fraud signals

Probix detects acoustic and behavioral patterns that suggest coached or non-authentic responses: secondary voices in the room, scripted delivery markers, speaker identity inconsistency, unusual response timing, and answers that deteriorate when the same ground is probed again. No biometrics. All signal derived from the interview itself.

Evidence brief

The output of every completed interview is a structured evidence brief: qualifiers passed, interest assessment, communication quality summary, and competency scores with transcript citations. Delivered to your dashboard the moment the interview completes. Optionally delivered to any endpoint via outbound webhook.

Shareable brief link

Every evidence brief generates a shareable link you can forward to any hiring manager. No login, no account required on their end. The link opens a clean, professionally formatted view of the brief with the Probix logo. Agency recruiters use this to include structured candidate intelligence directly in their submissions. Links are valid for 30 days and the brief is also available as a downloadable PDF.

Interview context

Beyond scores, every evidence brief includes a context note on how the candidate sounded, not just what they said. Nervousness patterns (did they settle in as the interview progressed?), engagement trajectory, and integrity flags when the audio warrants it. None of it modifies scores. All of it informs judgment.

API and webhooks

Probix has a REST API for creating jobs, submitting candidates, checking interview status, and receiving evidence briefs. Outbound webhooks fire on interview completion. API keys are managed in your developer dashboard. Full documentation available in the developer portal.
